Recently, I bought my first smartphone. I fell in love with the convenience this device provides me with. My oldest child is also now to the age where we've gotten him his first cell phone. If you have received a notification in the mail that a sex offender has moved into your area and their crimes are severe enough to scare you, you want to take action. Make sure your family and neighbors are safe by keeping everyone aware and by keeping unwanted intruders out of the house. Here are a few things you'll want to do to help keep everyone safe.

Alarm System

One of the easiest ways to keep people from wandering around your property and trying to get in your home is to get a home security system. When you are picking a system, look for the following features:

No-soliciting signs prevent people from going door to door where you live and seeing in people's homes. This is a warning for solicitors and potentially threatening people, and it helps you control who is coming in and out of the subdivision. These signs can be purchased and easily installed at the entrance of the subdivision, and they can also be added around the inside streets as well.

Talk with the neighbors and see if you can all work together to keep an eye out for your houses and vehicles and for the children in the area.
